Q: What kind of oil do you use for oil changes? A: We use full synthetic oil exclusively- no conventional oil and no synthetic blends. This ensures maximum engine protection and extended drain intervals of 5,000 – 7,500 miles. |

Q: What mileage is ideal for oil changes? Note – 10,000-mile interval was set under idealized lab-equivalent driving only. Your owner’s manual gives two oil change intervals: 10,000 miles for “normal” driving and 5,000 for “severe” service. What it doesn’t say is that nearly every driver qualifies as severe. Short trips, stop-and-go commuting, idling, dusty roads, and delivery use all count, and those describe most people’s daily driving. Time: Oil degrades over time, accumulating moisture, combustion byproducts, and metal particles that slowly turn from a lubricant into a grinding paste. Every mile you push past 5,000 on old oil accelerates wear on engine components that may cost thousands to replace later on. Regular oil changes can prevent a $4,000 repair later. For most drivers, the 5,000-mile interval isn’t the cautious choice, it’s simply the right one. |
